These include measuring from point A to point B, navigation, search tools, and geotagging photos. The article also gives tutorials on how to do such activities. Students will enjoy using google maps to research and view places around the world.

2) Google Earth in the Science Classroom explains to readers how much there actually is to the google earth and how much you can do with them in the classroom. It gives examples such as; weather, animal tracking around the world, and the ocean world. This site gives many examples of how much there is to explore on this type of site that will fascinate students.

Thoughts: Before exploring all of the great mapping tools, I would have never imagined there was so many tools to use. There are many different opportunities for students and teachers to investigate the world in other ways than by using a textbook. This technique is interactive and engaging for students of all ages.
